Compositional Trick # 7: Self Portraits

For our Self-Portrait project we were to take three self-portraits. They were all to be in black and white, and they were all to capture a mood of some sort. We were also challenged to be as artistic as possible, and stay as far away from normal, cliche portraits that we see on personal pages etc. as possible. One had to use the rule of thirds as the base for the composition; One had to incorporate leading lines, and one had to be taken from a more extreme angle.
I think my best self portrait was the extreme angles one because I got the photographer to get a good angle with some good architecture on top. I had a good scale value of grays and blacks. Maybe next time I could capture a better mood and take more time on them. I think overall I did good. Not great but not bad either. I couldn't of how to make them look better. It was difficult to think about it in your head and set it up.

I like your leading lines picture. it made me giggle at first, but i like how you went further out into the school to get the photo. Good Job Buddy
